USS Indianapolis (SSN-697) Souvenir

This commemorative figurine and woodennstand were fashioned from parts of the decommissioned USS Indianapolis (SSN-447), a submarine built in 1980 and named for the famous battleship sunk by the Japanese in 1945. The submarine was decommissioned and its parts recycled in 1998.
