As Chair of the Marion County Republican Central Committee, Bulen supported Republican candidates and legislative efforts in central Indiana. Daniels' political career included several years with Bulen's consultancy firm, as well as staff member to Mayor and then Senator Lugar. Daniels would later serve as Indiana Governor (2005-2013) and President of Purdue University.
