NESCO's Request for a G.A.O. Audit

The Near East Side Community Organization (NESCO) requests an audit of the Community Services Program by the Government Accountability Office for allegeldy misusing federal funds provided under the Model Cities program. The primary charge is that NESCO was not involved in determining how the funds were used when citizen participation was a requirement for spending the funds and NESCO was recognized as the group representing the citizens in several neighborhoods in Indianapolis.
