Mayor Lugar acknowledges a letter praising the work of the IPD in providing security during Senator Robert F. Kennedy's visit to the Marott Hotel in Indianapolis. Kennedy, the Democratic candidate for the Presidency, gave an impromptu speech in Indianapolis when Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated in Memphis on April 4, 1968.
