In 1980, Indianapolis renamed a segment of Fall Creek Drive near Christ Temple the Bishop G.T. Haywood Memorial Way to honor an African-American pastor and song writer who served as Presiding Bishop of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World from 1925 to 1931.
